HFS.4/VS.{J. Vickers}30.5.38.

11. It is suggested that the position of the oil scoop GB.3382 should be clearly indicated on the detail drawing of the second motion shaft.

12. The locating screw GB.3453 is too long and fouls the second speed cone.

13. The Angus oil seal has been omitted from the LOP.

14. The support arm GB.3538 does not accord with the scheme drawing. You will note that a boss is shown on the lower end which comes into contact with the servo discs and provides a stop to limit the arm travel.

15. The two brackets GB.3502 and GB.3527 are very similar, and it would appear that with a slight modification to the lever GB.3539 one bracket only need be used.

16. It is impossible to dismantle any of the servo mechanism with the gearbox in the chassis; we understand that Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/Hdy.{William Hardy} is looking into this matter.

17. The casing GB.3575 requires a spot facing operation on the .750 diameter hole to enable the valve spring cover to seat correctly.

18. Dimensions and the angle of the biting-in bolt slot should be added to the detail drawing of the operating lever GB.3565.

19. The LOP. specifies two outer cones GB.3403 - this should read three off.

20. To facilitate assembly we suggest that a lead be added to one end of the third motion shaft GB.3590.

21. The two stays GB.1770 do not appear to be very strong, and we suggest these be strengthened.

22. Considerable time is spent in setting up the eccentric pin on the selector operating levers GB.3469/70, and we suggest that the design be reconsidered in order to obviate the necessity for these pins.
