We are despatching the following parts for your trial in accordance with Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}'s. instructions.

(1) Complete set of oil pipes for testing the "General" filter on a 4 1/4 litre Bentley, together with the mounting bracket and special filter adaptor unions.

The filter has, we understand, been sent direct from the makers to you.

It is housed by the bracket sent on the crankcase under the steering column in the same position as the photograph of the AC.filter which Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} has given to you.

The inlet pipe to the filter is taken from the main oil (pump to crankcase) pipe and to the inlet union at the base of the filter.

The outlet pipe is taken from the union in the side of the filter up to the rocker oil feed pipe.

(2) 1 set of 4 1/4 litre Aerolite pistons which have been tin plated.

(3) 1 set of 3 1/2 litre aerolite pistons also tin plated.

(4) 12 L section rings suitable for 3 1/2 litre Bentley.

One ring per piston in the 2nd. compression ring groove (next to scraper) this way up [sketches of ring profile]
