Wraith III & Bentley III - "General" Bye-Pass Filter.
--------------------

Please receive herewith E.CD.799 - "General" Bye-Pass Filter - Wraith III & Bentley III.

We have arranged for the filter support feet to be suitable for use on the existing facings on the crankcase at present used for the A.C.Filter supports. This means that the standard type of feet as per the models of the filters sent to us by the makers are not suitable for our application.

The tommy bar for clamp tightening screw is replaced by a hexagon headed screw to give a neater appearance to the unit.

The union adaptors for both inlet abd outlet connections on the filter are as for Phantom III to E.CD.715. New inlet and outlet pipes are required.

It will be necessary to assemble the filter casing on engine before fitting the coil platform, as the coil platform in position makes it very difficult to spanner the forward fixing nut of filter.

Will you please detail and instruct the necessary parts as soon as possible, so that this filter can be fitted to the Bentley III car which will shortly be going on a 15,000 miles test run.
