Test results for an experimental motor fitted with C.M.2 brushes and F.7180 springs which was stopped due to excessive heat.

TESTS OF EXPERIMENTAL MOTOR FITTED WITH C.M.2 BRUSHES AND F.7180 springs.

The motor was loaded up to about 140 amps. the torque being 500 lb/inches. It ran at this load for 20 minutes without any sign of brush failure. It was necessary to take it off at the end of 20 mins. owingto the excessive heat.
