With reference to C9/C20.10.26. We have as yet received no drawing of the scheme recently got out by Paris so that we have not been able to test it ourselves. We have, however, inspected a sample of the arrangement in Paris. Though it appears a very sound job, we consider that it should be given an extended test.
We have yet to hear that our recommendation to cure over-heating has proved unsatisfactory if properly carried out. We consider that one advantage of this scheme is that it forces the Coachbuilders to improve their floorboard fitting. We know that gaping floorboards have in the past caused us endless trouble due to body fumes which promote sickness and lead to suspension complaints. If anything is fitted to the car which gives the body-builder the least chance of neglecting the floorboard fitting, we feel that he will take advantage of it. We consider that this point requires consideration.
