GEARBOX DIPSTICKS.

With regard to RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}/SB.{Mr Bull/Mr Bannister}1/MC.16.8.38. recommending a cheaper dipstick. We criticise the weight of the sample shown to us. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} suggests that a die cast aluminium stick with a fluted handle and cut to length at the bottom end to suit the various chassis would be just as cheap.

Before issuing a standardisation sheet for a modified dipstick, will RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} please let us have an estimate of the cost for the latter arrangement.
