PHANTOM III - REAR ROAD SPRINGS.

Referring to E.4/HP.13.11.36. we are arranging with ROY. {Sir Henry Royce} for the thickness of the plates not to be finally determined at the moment for the above springs, as apparently it may be necessary for us to increase the poundage of the springs in question again.

The original poundages which were ordered were three :-

1250 lbs.
1300 lbs.
1350 lbs.

but later as bodies seemed to be coming out heavier we altered the poundages to :-

1300 lbs.
1350 lbs.
1400 lbs.

Will ROY. {Sir Henry Royce} kindly take the necessary steps to see that the material is stopped before grinding, as it can then be made into whatever thickness of plate we require.
