Rear Shock Damper. New L.O.P. required for fitting the present production type in place of the J.III type.

Side Steering Tube. The new layout should be instructed.

Front Shock Dampers. New L.O.P. required for fitting the present production type in conjunction with front axle control.

A list of all parts affected by the above items should be supplied to the Experimental Dept. as soon as possible, so that they may arrange to leave them out of their programme.

To complete their instructions the D.O. will require particulars for the following from the Designing Office:-

Carburetter,
Induction System,
Wire Fittings,
Controls,
Body Layouts,
Springing.

A scheme has also to be prepared for a small tank or priming device to enable the petrol supply to be easily operated again should the pump fail.

With reference to the springing, a further set of road springs have been ordered similar to those fitted to the first chassis, making three sets in all of the same poundage and rating available for building chassis. One further set of stiffer springs should be instructed in accordance with memo Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/RM{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}4/WD.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}28.7.32.

No reference has been made to modifications of the electrical specification, because no recommendations have been made in recent correspondence. Will BY/SD. please get in touch with the Design Office to see what changes, if any, are being made.

The second body is a four light saloon, similar to the first and requires the 'E' column. The remaining chassis will need one 'E' column, and three 'F' columns. 18" dia. road wheels will be fitted throughout.
