Notes of Meeting. on the swinging arm to make this operation more consistent has been issued for test. There was also the question of a sadle modification on test to improve the efficiency of the servo, which will probably be standardised as the result of its test on 21-G-IV. Oil on Rear Brakes. The leather seal ring on the axle shafts will be introduced at the first chassis in "E" Series. Brakes fading. It is hoped that this will be dealt with by the modifications to improve the efficiency of the servo referred to above and Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} suggested it should be fitted to Em's car. Worst Features on Bentley Cars. Brake judders etc. Performance in view of increased weight. 20/25's. 21-G-IV is still running on test in France. Friction Damper. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} is instructing axk the lighter gauge damper for production. Memo. E2/HP141.35 was read dealing with 20/25 performance. It was agreed that, in view of the length of time we should have to continue with the present 20/25, we should go ahead with the new cylinder head casting which in any case is necessary with the automatically adjusted tappets, and take the opportunity of altering the combustion chamber to the turbulent type, which with increased compression would give us an increase of about 6 HP, and another 4 HP with improved passage through the cylinder block, and also a further improvement by making the cylinder head of the close centre type with larger inlet valve. | ||
