Sidgreaves - MD} Copy to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}E. Removing Bentley Fan Belt. Referring to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}6/KW.27.4.34 I was not previously aware that, to remove the fan belt, or presumably fit a new one, it was necessary to remove the radiator and front cross members. It seems rather a ridiculous position. I am anxious, therefore, that the modification referred to should be introduced on production as soon as possible, and as it seems to be only a different starter dog nut and a new fan hub, I am wondering whether it is not something which we could introduce without necessarily waiting for a 10,000 miles test. We might discuss this matter to-morrow when I am at Derby. | ||
