Bailey - Chief Engineer} X 224 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson}6/KB.27.4.34. Removing Bentley Fan Belt. We are unable to remove the Bentley Fan Belt without first removing the radiator and front cross member, due to there being insufficient clearance between the starter dog. To overcome this trouble the starter dog nut has been redesigned to LEC.3784 together with a new fan hub to EB.1644, giving an increased clearance of .175". We had this scheme fitted to the Streamline Bentley a month ago, and it is satisfactory. The question of changing the fan belt is made quite simple. No alteration is necessary to the starting handle to suit the new position of the starter dog. This scheme would mean a small alteration to production chassis, and would be a great boon to owners. We are issuing a Standardisation Sheet for this modification forthwith. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson} | ||
