It was decided to slow down Pistons and Gudgeon pins in the Works as much as possible, consistent with keeping output going, so that a solution might be found for this job by the Experimental Dept. The piston trouble with the experimental car was also considered under the heading of 14. It was also thought advisable to go slowly with Pistons until further information was available. (15) LAGGING OF EXHAUST PIPES DOWNTAKE AND INTERMEDIATE. This was up to West WitteringHenry Royce's home town. Can Mr.Elliott give us any information as to when Mr.Bailey will have the instructions? (16) SHUTTER CONTROLS. Being redesigned by West WitteringHenry Royce's home town. It was considered this might cause three or four weeks delay. Can Mr.Elliott let us know when Mr.Bailey will have instructions? (17) RADIATOR. The radiators already made will have to be altered owing to loss of water.
