M.Y. ALICE. August 1. Dear Mr. Robotham: Thanks for your letter of the 28th. I will see you at the Works sometime on the 10th, but it probably won't be before lunch, as I can't leave here until the night of the 9th. I went up to Lagondas at Staines yesterday on my way to London, and am very interested in the Le Mans cars. I left my Bentley there, as I may turn it in on a special job they are considering doing for me. I am anxious to see your new chassis, however, and am looking forward to the 10th. I am not very interested in the Streamline, as I want a car that will open up, and I don't care so much for speed as I do acceleration. My Buick will beat both the Bentley and the Lagonda, so I am slightly disappointed all around. Most sincerely, Briggs Cunningham | ||
