ON AIR MINISTRY, ADMIRALTY AND WAR OFFICE LISTS YOUR REF. ........... OUR REF. CWW/GC 19th July, 1940. W.A. Robotham Esq., Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd., DERBY. Dear Mr. Robotham, re. Bentley-V.{VIENNA} Jack Barclay brought his car No. B.16-AW. on which we mounted one of the first 6 metal bodies, to us a couple of days ago for attention to a couple of damaged wings, and the adjustment of various small coachwork items. He came down here himself to explain just what he wanted done, and happened to mention that he was rather perturbed with the behaviour of the top panels of the bonnet at speed. He told me these lift to a noticeable extent, due presumably to air pressure building up under the bonnet. I do not know whether you have come across this trouble, but in any case it seems one which you will wish to investigate. Yours sincerely, | ||
