Test report on engine detonation using a Delco distributor with different petrol types.

Delco distributor. Azur petrol. Timed T.D.C.

No detonation at all.

It appears from the above that with Tourisme petrol which is equivalent to Redline, the Delco distributor is better at low speeds, but detonations are too bad to consider with either distributors.

With better grade petrols detonations are just audible and we think may be passable with either distributors.
