Rolls-Royce Ltd., Nightingale Rd., Derby. Dear Sirs, I have been asked by the Spreckels "Savage" Tire Co. of San Diego, California, to investigate the possibility of marketing their high-grade hand-made Tires in England, and beg to ask if you would be interested in examining their tires, their methods of manufacture, quality of materials used, and prices laid down at an English Port. Spreckels "Savage" Tires are made on the millimeter basis and as the Spreckels Interests own their own Steamship Lines (being a very large concern) and are able to ship via all water route from California, through the Panama Canal to England, I believe their quotations would be worthy of your consideration. Their tires carry a 6500 mile gaurantee and are made in all sizes from 90 mm. to 150 mm section x 710 mm to 935 mm dia. also a full line of Inner Tubes. Their Tires are also made in inches, ranging from 30" x 3 1/2" to 38" x 6". The "Savage" Tire enjoys a premier standing in the States, and as they are now prepared to execute orders in large quantity for Export, I hope to have the pleasure of discussing the matter with you at your convenience.
