X4576 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey}9/KT. April 8th 1933. John Marston Ltd, Paul Street Works, Wolverhampton. For the attention of Mr.Dalrymple. Dear Sirs, Thank you for your letter of the 7th inst. With regard to the 40/50 car radiators, we have received the first of these two. We were under the impression that we asked you to obtain two Harrison blocks suitable for E.81407; apparently owing to our instructions being given verbally some misunderstanding has arisen. The best way out appears for you to build up the second radiator (E.81407) with the Harrison block which you have and make up the dimension difference by increasing the size of the bottom tank. The radiator matrix on E.77675 is 1.00" less in height than E.81407, the width is the same in each case, it will therefore be necessary for you to make a false bottom tank 1" deeper than the one you made for the radiator E.81407 which we have just received. We should be glad if you will carry out the work on these lines. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
