CONFIDENTIAL. to HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} from EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} X4555 HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}2/LG 1.10.26. RE SHEFFIELD SIMPLEX DIPPING LAMPS. From a later communication of ours you will see that we have instructed Messrs Sheffield Simplex to send you a set of fittings for applying their dipping lamps to a standard Phantom. These fittings go on our standard concealed wiring brackets so there is no need for us to supply them with any pieces. They have a standard design for the Phantom which we believe Messrs Hooper & Co. have agreed to adopt as their recommendation to customers. The chief purpose for purchasing this set was to please Earl Fitzwilliam with the hope that by so doing we may interest him in our products. In view of this we suggest that we should not deal too severely with these lamps and say nothing rather than something bad. With this in view we have arranged to purchase the fittings so that we are not bound to report to the makers our views. EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} | ||
