X5840. To H.S. From G.W.H. Hotel de France, Chateauroux, FRANCE. 9/12/31. 18.G.IV. We have received your memo No.5/MJ.7.12.31. Apparently there has been an entire misunderstanding with regard to the car and P.H. We see by this morning's memo that you expect the driver to go with P.H. We have previously understood from your memo that the car was to be handed over to P.H. when we had entirely finished with it. However, I have instructed Roberts to report with the car in the morning at Avenue George V, Paris, and told him that he will have to collect the hamper either on the 16th or 17th. I suppose you will inform P.H. the exact date and port where he is to collect the hamper. The car has left here for Paris; also the three drivers and the tyre man. We are now busy with the report and with winding up the job, and shall leave Chateauroux as soon as we have finished. G.W.Hancock. G.W.H. | ||
