TAPPETS AND PUSH RODS. WRAITH III.

Referring to REC.1/MC.9.8.38. after weighing up all the tappets I have decided that it is not desirable to introduce the modified rods and tappets to drawings E.CD.775 and 795 in 'C' series.

We are testing out, however, a shortening of the push rod by locating same in the upper end of the present type tappet. Work will be started on this immediately, and it is possible that this may be available for 'C' series. If, however, 'C' series must be released on these details we shall have to use present standard material.
