X.3044 X.3743 Extract from REPORT. ON 2.EX. (Text in left margin) X.3044 V98Y. Tuesday. march 2nd. At Paris Depot where I had the car washed and oiled round. Fresh oil put in the engine. The T joint on top water pipe was taken off cleaned and re-soldered. New tail lamp fitted. One of the rear wheels was slightly dented on the rim. and this was straightened out at Paris. With regard to tyres blowing off the rear wheels it was decided by BJ. and B. that some other make ought to be tried and finally it was arranged to fit Michelin Special 895 x 135 (which equal a 150 mm tyre) to the rear wheels including the spare. These tyres are being fitted to all new chassis coming to Paris Depot. Dunlops have been responsible for several accidents out here - so Paris say - through coming off the rims. Saturday - To Hyeres & back then on to Avignon with a load of petrol. About 16 miles out one of the rear tyres (Dunlop guved) blew off the rim when travelling at not more than 20 m.p.h. | ||
