Extract from REPORT ON 2.EX.

Sunday. Feb . 29th. Left Avignon en route for Paris and when about 23 miles out a Dunlop steel studded cover blew off the rim ( rear wheel.) A new tube was fitted and about fourteen miles further on the same cover blew off again. Spare tubes being unobtainable and having only left one and a spare front wheel shod with a Magnum I decided to put the latter on the rear and carry the tube for any wheel which might require it. After so much trouble and having still over four hundred miles to do before reaching Paris, I drove very steadily to Roanne where I stayed the night.
