We thank you very much for your letter of the 29th, reference as above.

We are sorry to hear that you have decided not to carry out any further tests with the downdraft carburetter.
Of course, the danger of raw fuel draining into the inlet pipe can be obviated to a certain extent by the introduction of a drain pipe in the bottom of the induction pipe, just under the carburetter.

We have recently produced an entirely new carburetter for aeroplanes, which includes a certain number of novel features, one of which is the possibility to fly upside down, without affecting the functioning of the carburetter.

We should very much like to show you one of these carburetters, with a view to making some tests on one of your Aero engines, and should be pleased to hear whether we can
