GENERAL MOTORS EXPORT COMPANY

June 18th, 1934.

Messrs. Lendrum & Hartman Ltd.,
26 B & C Albemarle St.{Capt. P. R. Strong},
London, W.1. England.

Gentlemen:

We are attaching copy of an order placed with the Buick factory for one Buick four-door 47 Sedan in color Ambassador Maroon, equipped with leather upholstery, six steel artillery wheels and de luxe equipment for shipment to your goodselves during July.

During the early part of this month we were advised by our Detroit office that Mr. Olley of the Cadillac Motor Car Company had received a letter from Mr. Robotham, Experimental Engineer of the Rolls Royce Company in England, requesting shipment of his car and rather than lose any time awaiting advices from you we decided to place this order with the factory, which we have already done.

Undoubtedly you have heard from Mr. Robotham and no doubt intend writing us. However, if the Rolls Royce people have not communicated with you we would suggest that you get in touch with them and obtain a confirmation of this order in turn cabling us a confirmation.

The only information we have is that Mr. Robotham, Experimental Engineer of Rolls Royce wrote Mr. Olley of the Cadillac Motor Car Company and requested shipment of a 47 in right hand drive. Aside from this we do not know anything else about the order, therefore hope that with this information you will be able to complete the arrangements already started by Mr. Robotham.

We shall await your further cabled advices in connection with this order.

Very truly yours,

F.K. BRUN,
Vice President in Charge of Supply.
