Dear Rowbotham,

When I returned from my travels yesterday and came to unload the B.R.W. I found there was all sorts of gear in the back & pockets etc. I should think that all these things together with the car heater would have weighed about 1/2 cwt so that makes the weight figure even better than we thought. It is remarkably good seeing that it is all of a fairly solid nature & nothing skimped.

The car ran beautifully coming back, much better than before & really was exceedingly pleasant. The brakes I thought before needed attention, but coming back they seemed much better. Did your people adjust them by any chance?

The question of a still lighter battery for you is in train.

So glad to see that Beaverbrook has been put on to tanks & I expect you will like working with him, if you have to. Between him & R R Ltd, something should happen.

Had a most interesting night at an aerodrome, (where our machines are) last night & again tonight.

Yours
G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} R.{Sir Henry Royce} N. Minchin
