Bentley - Front Aprons and Mudguards.

It is agreed that we shall not deliver any cars fitted with aprons to R.{Sir Henry Royce} Sch.733 but these will be converted to the type shown on RR. Sch.803 with a slight modification to the shape of the additional crossmember opposite the head lamps.

The apron thus modified is also shown on LeC.4313, which drawing illustrates the proposed additional safeguards to keep mud out of the inside of the chassis frame.

It is agreed that these dumb iron covers will be produced as soon as possible to be used in conjunction with the modified front apron, and that coachbuilders will be instructed to work to scheme LeC.4313 in arranging the front mudguards.

It is proposed to send particulars of this change to Sr. at Paris so that he can arrange to deal with the six cars sent out to N. Sch.4124, and if possible convert the front aprons and fit hand made dumb iron covers for excluding the mud.

LeC.4313 is the latest and final scheme of lightened head lamp stiffening crossmember with front E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} apron of improved appearance.
