BENTLEY 11.A. & 111. - REAR AXLE.
G.CD.23 - SECTIONS 6130, 6120, and 6170.

Please receive herewith the following blueprints :-

G.CD.192 Modification to Brake Rod Adjustment Equaliser to End Pin.

G.CD.193 Aluminium Die Cast Suspension Cover fitted to B.11A. and 111 Rear Axle Centre Casing.

G.CD.195 Modification to spacing of rivets in Oil Guard. Rear Brakes. B.11A and B111.

The above schemes have been produced to eliminate the difficulties enumerated under items 11, 3 and 10 respectively, on memo HPS{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr}/RH.{R. Hollingworth}2/VS.{J. Vickers}19.10.37.

Scheme G.CD.192 (Item 11).

To reduce the possibility of the pull rod GB.2857, being screwed in an insufficient amount in either the jaw, at the inner end and the junction piece at the outer end of the rod, we shew the pull rod screwed up tight into the jaw and the junction piece GB.2859 lengthened from .900 to 1.375, thus ensuring an increase in the amount of thread in engagement with the pull rod.

Scheme G.CD.193 (Item 3).

On the above, the forged mild steel inspection cover, which spigots both in the inside and on the outside of the rear end of the axle casing, has been replaced by a die-cast aluminium inspection cover spigotted only in the inside of the rear axle casing as on the Phantom 11 chassis.

Scheme G.CD.195(Item 10).

The rivet holes in the oil guard dust covers GB.2738 and GB.2834/5 are shewn re-spaced to ensure that the rivet heads clear the oil drain GW.1537.
