Exhaust System for 5-B-IV.

In connection with specification under Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Bwg.{J. C. Bowring}27/KW.12.10.34.

Will you please draw up a scheme whereby the cut-out on this system is fitted to the rear silencer, the outlet being from the 1st chamber of the silencer on the offside. It may be necessary slightly to shorten the intermediate pipe so that when the cut-out is open the gases have a more direct outlet.

The cut-out is to be operated by an Arens control connected to the standard control lever on the floorboards.

Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/J.Bowering.
