Captain Wilkes,
The Rover Motor Car Co. Ltd.,
Coventry.

Dear Capt. Wilkes,

We are interested in the Girling Brake and I understand you have standardised it on the Rovers. I should very much like to come over to Coventry and try one or two of your production cars if this is possible, and also to discuss the virtues and vices of the Girling Brake.
Can you suggest a day which would be convenient, I am free most of next week.

I might bring a Bentley over with me. If you have not already tried one, I think it might interest you.

You will perhaps remember that I owned a Hillman and worried you about it some five years ago.

Yours sincerely,
