B/. HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} FROM E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Copy to SG.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} [strikethrough] L.H. P.2. CHASSIS. CLEARANCE OF CRANKCASE BREATHER PIPE WITH EXTRA OIL COCK CONTROL ROD. [Stamp: ORIGINAL] On the 1st. L.H. chassis we found the breather pipe had been made with a loop to clear the extra oil cock rod. We have referred to our drawing LeC. 2791. and so far as we can see the rod should pass under the pipe with ample clearance. The only reason which might account for the lack of clearance on the 1st. chassis is that the cock may have been assembled with the lever on top instead of underneath. Could you kindly have this point cleared up, and if there is any question in doubt refer it to us as soon as possible so that we can get the matter straightened out.
