X 1110 H L Smith BY c.Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Smth. - from Sft.{Mr Swift} Sft.{Mr Swift}1/MW.3.4.36. 11" Borg and Beck Clutches for 25/30 HP. With reference to memo. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Smthl/KW.23.3.36. and the two sample clutches you handed to us the other day, below we give you copy of our report.- "The holes in the flange which are used for attaching the clutch to the flywheel are countersunk too deeply, thus taking away some of the bearing surface which is essential. The cover is also out of round .008. The windows in the cover have large burrs on them and extremely sharp edges. The face which bolts to the flywheel, whilst an improvement on many of the others, is still not quite flat." Sft.{Mr Swift} | ||
