To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} from EFC. c. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/YMW. X40541 EFC3/T24.6.25. X.4652 - POSITIVE CROSS CONNECTIONS FROM CONTACT BREAKER TO CONDENSER. Herewith we hand to you a sample contact breaker unit with positive cross connections from contact points to condenser. We have arranged with Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} to provide a number of experimental cars with these cross connections, and those that are at the moment free of other interfering experiments are 6-GII, 7-GII and 98-NK. Would you please arrange to have these such cross connections put on those three chassis, but it should be ascertained that the contact breaker points are initially in good condition for this test. If not already too bad they may be trimmed up, but if judged to be too far gone new points should be fitted. It is thought from our bench tests that these connections have promise of giving a definite advantage in road running. Please return sample at your convenience. EFC. | ||
