40/50. HP. CHASSIS.
RE VENTILATING SHUTTERS IN BONNETS.

Referring to your memo EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}/Thnll/H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} 10. 11. 21.
we agree that chassis going to hot countries should be fitted with bonnets that have ventilating shutters, and we would point out that althougha Standardization Sheet has been issued and fully signed up, for bonnets without shutters, we shall still continue to despatch chassis that have shutters in the bonnet, up to the end of "p" Series, as prior to the standardization sheet being signed up, the sheets for the bonnets had been delivered, and the shutters were already blanked out.
As you are no doubt aware, however, since we have ordered special material for polished bonnets, this was ordered without the shutters being blanked out, but we will make a note that for all future chassis intended for hot countries, the bonnets must have shutters.
