Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} C. Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} X4565 BY15/W.5.3.25. 40/50 CHASSIS. 33 x 6.75 BALLOON TYRES. R.{Sir Henry Royce} in a memo' dealing with Mr. Minchin's car, addressed to Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}, says " body errors and road vibrations are much more glaring than irritation due to engine and transmission. I suggest strongly here that for moderate speeds a 7" semi balloon tyre be carefully examined and used if possible". Personally, I think the 33 x 6.75 with its thicker walls, and higher air pressure, is O.K. for cars not fitted with F.W.B.'s, and agree that we could recommend this for light cars without F.W.B.'s.
