To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} X8410 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rul/LG24.10.27. PACKING UNDER THE FRONT SPRINGS. X8410 X8420 We understand that a complete scheme has been got out for obtaining the pivot lean on the Sports Phantom cars with the minimum depth of packing between the axle and the springs. We consider that these scheme should be adopted on production cars at the earliest possible moment as R.{Sir Henry Royce} complains every time he sees a car with the present packing pieces.
