311 - 3 - 12th July 1938. in which order or rotation. As you say, it is no good flinging money away, and again if I went to Withers he would certainly be entitled to some commission. If, however, I got the Chassis through a friend then it would only be Chassis price less commission plus body less commission, in which case Freestone & Webb would put their charge on so that they could give Withers his commission. In the matter of motors, bodies, and these large figures I am a babe as compared with Alan, so I should really like his advice. One doesn't want to be a jew, but one must at the same time get the finished article on rock bottom terms, (in addition to which there is the price of the large whisky and soda !!!) Yours sincerely, [Signature] Alan Chambers Esq., Liverpool. | ||
