Thermoid Co.Ltd.,
Trenton,
NEW JERSEY, U.S.A.

For the attention of Mr.H.A.Davis.

Dear Sirs,

We have to thank you for your letter of the 8th. October 1937, and also for the samples of Thermoid D.35.I.H. despatched about the same time.

We have fitted this material to three cars so far, and the results of the preliminary testing are very satisfactory. The cars will be sent for more thorough testing at an early date.

In order to obtain more experience of your lining we have instructed our Order Office to buy a dozen sets of material which we will fit to some test cars now being built. The lining will again have to be hand made and need not be drilled.

As regards the quotations relative to the samples already supplied, these are satisfactory and we would be willing to pay the tool costs you stated, in the event of the lining being recommended for production.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
