X3461 PN.{Mr Northey} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/LG3. 2. 22. X.4426 X.4299 X.4219 X.4387 X.3923 X.3461 We send you herewith blue-print showing the method of fitting the Hartford shock absorber to the rear of a 40/50 H.P. Car. I shall be very interested to know what your impressions are of the Hartford shock absorbers on Lord Rocksavage's car. I should also like to know in what way the R-R Shock Absorbers failed on the cream car, - was it that they were not effective or that they were noisy? As regards the effectiveness, was it that the braking was worse or that the rebound of the springs was excessive? We are also interested to know your opinion of the Pilot Jet carburetter. We hope to standardise this immediately. We should like, therefore, to have your comments. I should also be interested for your impression of the car fitted with the 14-tooth axle in France. Do you consider the 14-tooth axle spoils the car over the French road conditions? We are getting a big push on Goshawk 11. cars. I think it will certainly be another six weeks before we can hope to have one in the south of France. We may, however, send a car ( not one of the latest type) before then. R.{Sir Henry Royce} is leaving for Le CanadelHenry Royce's French residence in 10 days time - 6.EX Car is going down. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
