Will you please carry out a test on the new spanners for removing the rear axle tube nuts on axles fitted with wire wheels. Mr Platford reports that the pins in these spanners very easily bend or break out under ordinary conditions of service. He also points out that the spanners are not interchangeable. If your test confirms these points, then we should change the design for something more practicable. I think the matter should receive your early attention, as it need not interfere with the other tests which are proceeding. This sheet must be filed with the correspondence to which it refers. | ||
