FRONT AXLES FOR 10 H P CARS
ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
INSTRUCTIONS.

To: Mr Wormald for Mr Royce
Order No. Reply to R4/P10.9.13
Customer's No. X7J

Dwgs. 98 + 132 herewith.
The front axle of the late type 2 cylinder car No 20167 used by Mr Royce is a dwg 132.
At Blantyre + the Derby shop car were fitted with forged axle dwg 98, + a light type pivot was used.
I would suggest that the tubular axle be retained in the cars to be altered, as there appears to be several different widths of what Gorton in existence, but in the majority of cases we have no records of these, as some of the 10 H.P. cars requiring altering have not been to the works for many years, + we are not sure how they were made.
Some of these have changed hands + their present ownership is unknown.

Signed: A.P. Chandler
This Sheet must be filed on completion of the work.
