Re Front Axles for 10 HP Cars.

Re R4/P10.9.13.

Drawings 98 and 132 herewith. The front axle of the late type 2 cylinder car No.20167 used by Mr Royce is to drawing 132.

Mr Blamires and the Derby shop car were fitted with forged axle, drawing 98, and 4 light type pivots were used.

I would suggest that the tubular axle be retained on the cars to be altered, as there appears to be several different widths of wheel tracks in existance, but in the majority of cases we have no records of these, as some of the 14 or 15 cars requiring altering have not been to the works for many years and some not since they were made. Some of these have changed hands and their present ownership is unknown.
