X4075 Id. PN{Mr Northey}5/DN/20.7.23. FROM PN.{Mr Northey} TO WP. c. to By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} & Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} " " " Bj. & Bk.{A. Birkett - Commercial Manager} On our 20 H.P. Trials Landaulet recently - Chassis No.40G8 - the flexible connection leading to the negative terminal of the battery, broke at the point where it is sweated into the socket. Although this is an easy repair, it is none the less an irritating incident to happen with a one-ignition car. Can you take steps to see that this weakness will not exist on other cars, either being supplied or already delivered? I am sending to you the actual cable which broke. I have a feeling of distrust for this length of cable in the position it occupies, unless in future you make a point of putting one turn in it to give additional deflection. P.N. | ||
