CRACKED EXHAUST MANIFOLDS. Owing to the difficulty of testing out 20 HP. and P.I modifications we have decided to adopt the safest of the available alternative exhaust manifolds. It appears useless to continue to fit manifolds which we know will again crack. Will you please instruct, therefore, the following manifolds to be issued to the repair dept. for replacements :- 12 - manifolds to Lec.2902 (20 HP. with cooling ribs) to suit the old type curved hot spot joint (E.56819) 12 - manifolds to Lec.2902 as above but to suit the "flat" hot spot joint. 12 prs. - P.I manifolds in malleable iron. The repair depts. and depots should be instructed to fit these modified manifolds where the standard ones have failed. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey} | ||
