Will you kindly have the following translated and forwarded to Messrs Herrmann and Ambron at Brussels :-

"Our Mr Mercer wishes the following
"information to be sent to you in response
"to your verbal request made during your
"recent visit to the Works.

"You made a complaint that in Torpedo
"type bodies the side of the body passed
"between the change gear-lever and the brake
"lever, leaving insufficient room for the
"fingers when either lever was grasped.

"The records of some 7 or 8 cars which
"have recently been supplied to you have
"been referred to and in every case except
"one the side levers supplied have been of
"the "set in" type, the exception being
"chassis No.54PB, which we believe was
"fitted with "set out" levers, i.e. levers
"which are further out from the centre of
"the car. These were specially designed
"for use with Torpedo bodies and they bring
