EXAMINATION OF EXPERIMENTAL
ELECTRICAL UNITS REMOVED FROM 6.B.IV.

Dynamo.
Commutator wear very little. Some oil from the
gearing appears to have got on to the commutator, making it
black and sticky.
Brushes sticky in their holders; the wear of the
brushes was normal for this type of machine.

Cut-Out.
This is of the double-contact type, and was found to
be in good condition.

Headlamps.
One of these was badly damaged in accident. The other
was alright apart from the lampholder mounting being loose.

Stop-Lamp Switch.
This was in good condition.

Starter Main Switch.
Condition good.

Starter Motor.
The gears were found to be noisy, while the drive was
inclined to stick on the shaft. One brush was sticking in its
holder.

Windscreen Wiper Motor.
Condition good.

Fog Lamp.
Condition good.
