I attach for your perusal copy of a note I have received from SFT.{Mr Swift}

Design and Experimental Department are giving the Works a good deal of additional trouble through modifications being put on our products before they are quite right.

I have had a word with you before on this subject, it not only applies to chassis but to aero work, and I suggest that in the near future we have a talk about things which ought to be avoided.

We have been getting into a lot of trouble recently through late deliveries of chassis to London and indeed, it is affecting our orders, and it is certain that one hears of more troubles in the Works than we ought to be having. Then again, I do not think you can be satisfied about the progress we are making with our experimental aero work due to troubles that with more careful attention could be avoided.

Naturally I hate to say this, but I am not really complaining because I know how busy everybody is, but it would help if we could reduce the number of things that are put through without better consideration.
