HINGED TYPE OF PETROL TANK FILLER CAP.
---------------------------------------

In reply to PN.{Mr Northey}1/WT.2.6.32., the full modification to the filler cap recommended in Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Ltd.3/MAL.6.32., cannot easily be applied to existing fillers without removing the petrol tank. We have a scheme however which will deal easily and effectively with existing fillers and By is preparing a drawing showing this which will be forwarded to you almost immediately. This scheme will make the filler equally as petrol tight as the old type screwed filler cap, whereas the final scheme which will be brought onto production as soon as possible will be superior to the screw type of filler cap.
