X5350 V2507 20 HP. REAR AXLE BEVEL PINION THRUST BEARING. 9-G-111 car which recently ran 10,000 miles in France is fitted with a New Departure No.306 bearing and bevel pinion thrust. The condition of this bearing at the end of the run was excellent. We have sent standardisation sheets round for signatures so that this bearing can be adopted. We have previously tried a small New Departure Bearing No.207. This did not give as good results. Attached are comparative results taken with different thrust races on a test rig.
