We send you herewith LeC.5610 of a lightened one-piece starting handle to reduce cost, for Phantom III. This handle incorporates the same parts that are used on the one-piece Wraith handle to LeC.5563. We are in some doubt as to whether the dogs will be strong enough and should be pleased if you would detail and instruct the handle and parts for test to determine this point. It will be necessary to increase the gap in the shutters to allow this handle to pass through as indicated on the scheme. The gap which will be left between the lid{A. J. Lidsey} of the trap and the shutter will not appear on the final design which will incorporate the same trap as used on Wraith III. The scheme with the handle inside the bumpers only is to be detailed. The scheme with the handle outside the bumpers is merely a sketch showing the length of the handle which would be required with this arrangement. E/PSN. Att:LeC.5610. | ||
