HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} C.PY N53 EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}/Thn8/H28.11.24. re. Use of Benzole with both 40/50 and 20-HP Cars. You will remember that we discussed with you the other day the question of a customer who had a 20-HP car running on Benzole (being evidently a producer). We informed the customer that we did not recommend pure Benzole for use on our cars, but we did not see any objection to an admixture of Benzole up to 25%. It now appears that the gentleman in question is a Director of the National Benzole Company and we enclose letter and attachment we have received from the National Benzole Co. together with copy of our reply. We shall be glad if you will deal with the general question, we have replied only in regard to this particular car, for which you will remember you promised to supply a special float, which could be fitted when we carried out the final test, if such is necessary.
